How much input will I have in the development process?
As much as you want. Your input and feedback are very important to the website development process. We assess your needs, your likes, and your wants and work with you to develop the right look and functionality based on our communications with you.
Who writes the content for the site?
You are the expert on your business, so it’s usually best if it comes from you. That being said, more often than not we write the content for our clients, so no need to be concerned if you can’t provide us with much content. If you have an existing website, or other places where content about your business resides, we will use that as a starting point and enhance it from there.
Will I be able to update the site myself?
Yes. We build websites on content management systems with user-friendly content creation and editing tools. Once your website is published we will train your designated administrative users to add and edit the content on your site. And, we’re always available to answer your questions and lend a hand any time you need us.
Will you maintain my website for me?
Yes. We host and maintain your website as part of our ongoing support. We keep your website secure with SSL and software security updates, host your site at Pantheon for unrivaled speed and uptime, set up speed-enhancing cache, and provide troubleshooting support. We also set your site up on Google Analytics, Google Webmaster Tools and spam protection, and monitor same for performance issues and enhancements.
What if I need help with my website in the future?
We are only a phone call or an email away! We’re here to help you as much or as little as you need. We’ve been hosting, maintaining and supporting websites for small businesses for over 20 years, and are known for our responsive support services.
How long does it take to get a new website?
Most sites take approximately eight weeks from agreement acceptance to publication. Once we have a commitment from you, we will immediately schedule a meeting to review your requirements and get answers to our questions. We then provide you with a list of items and information to submit. The sooner we have what we need, the quicker the project will move along. Your availability with feedback and answers affects the speed of completion. Functionality needs may also play a role. More complex sites will take more time to develop.
What is the payment process for the website?
For most projects, 50% of the design and development cost is payable at the time of agreement acceptance and the remaining 50% is payable upon delivery. Ongoing maintenance and support is billed monthly, but can be billed quarterly or annually upon request.
We accept checks, Mastercard, Visa and PayPal.
How much will it cost for a new website?
The design and development of a new website is quoted based on the needs of each individual project. Every website is unique and requires different features and components. We assess your needs and provide you with a quote based on the time it will take to satisfy your requirements.
